Legislative Luncheon - July 3, 2009
The Legislative Committee of the Darke County Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual State of the Nation Legislative Luncheon on July 3, 2009. Chamber Chairman Elect Tyeis Baker-Baumann called the meeting to order and welcomed Congressman John Boehner, U.S. House Minority Leader and Ohio's Representative for the eigth district and citizens of Darke County.
Congressman Boehner addressed issues and fielded questions on the economy, jobs, stimulus dollars from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), healthcare reform, and our troops in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Congressman Boehner spent time after the meeting in conversation with business owners and residents of Darke County. Congressman Boehner has represented Darke County for more than 18 years.
