| Committee Structure
The Darke County Chamber of Commerce
accomplishes its program of work through a network of committees and task forces.
These groups are made up of volunteers from chamber member businesses who donate their
time and expertise to assist other businesses.
Currently, the Darke County Chamber has the
following standing committees:
Ambassadors
The purpose of the Ambassadors Club is to promote good will and
serve as a public relations unit for the Chamber. The Ambassadors
organize the social functions of the Chamber in cooperation with
the Board of Directors.
Business
The purpose of the Business Committee is to promote,
educate and enhance the businesses in Darke County.
Education
The purpose of the Education Committee is to
enhance, promote, and stimulate educational opportunities for all Darke County
citizens. The Education Committee advocates high quality instruction and a
challenging curriculum from kindergarten through adulthood.
Economic Development
The purpose of the Economic Development
Committee is to create an environment that encourages business start-ups and expansions by
working to meet the needs of business and industry in our community.
Government Relations
The purpose of the
Government Relations Committee is to identify, review and disseminate
to the Chamber membership information on legislative issues affecting
businesses in Darke County.
Leadership
The purpose of Leadership - Darke County is to develop
a source of community-informed, civic-oriented leaders and managers
who want to help direct the future of Darke County
The purpose of Human Resource Development - Leadership
is to develop a well-rounded approach to managing people and to
provide opportunities to relate concepts to local organization.
Member Benefits
The purpose of the Member Benefits Committee is
to review potential and current programs to ensure members have
a quality "menu" of benefits available.
