CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
The Darke County Chamber of Commerce Gift Certificate
Program keeps shopping dollars in Darke County and, in particular, within the businesses
of participating Darke County Chamber of Commerce members. Started in 1990, this program
has provided nearly one-half million dollars in revenue for our members.
The program is voluntary and very easy. Darke County
Chamber of Commerce Gift Certificates are printed in $5, $10, & $25 denominations.
Certificates may be purchased at the Chamber office at 622 South Broadway, Greenville, or
at the branch bank offices of Greenville National Bank and Second National Bank in
Ansonia, Arcanum, Gettysburg, and Versailles. Anyone may purchase gift certificates.
Gift certificates may be redeemed only by participating
Chamber of Commerce members. Currently, 200 of our members participate in this program and
a list of redemption sites is given with every certificate purchase.
Certificates must be redeemed for at least 80% of their
face value in goods or services. This prevents someone from using a certificate to buy a
pack of gum for 50 cents and receiving $9.50 in change. Our goal is to have the majority
of the face value of the certificate spent in your business. You decide whether the
difference between the purchase cost and the face value is returned as change or in-store
credit.
Redeemed certificates are reimbursed for their full face
value upon return to the Darke County Chamber of Commerce office. You can either bring the
certificates to the Chamber office for instant reimbursement or you can mail them to us.
We will issue a check by return mail the same day.
Each participating Chamber member receives door/window
decals denoting them as a redemption business and other promotion assistance.
