Agriculture plays a vital role in the economy of Darke County. Receipts from livestock and crop production receive high rankings in the State of Ohio. Darke County is home to several national and international companies. Our industrial base includes diversified products ranging from automotive parts to household appliances to industrial greenhouses.

Our residents have the unique opportunity to enjoy small, rural town living located within easy access of major Midwestern cities. Although rural in nature, Darke County is located within a 30 to 90 minute drive of amenities in Dayton, Cincinnati, and Columbus, Ohio.
