Darke County Future Agri-Leader Scholarship

The Darke County Agri-Future Scholarship supports local students pursuing careers in agriculture and related fields. Open to high school seniors from Darke County, this $500 scholarship recognizes individuals who demonstrate a passion for agriculture, a commitment to their community, and a vision for the future of the industry. Whether studying agribusiness, animal science, crop production, or agricultural technology, recipients of this award will help shape the next generation of agricultural leaders.


To ensure that the next generation of leaders can continue focusing on impacting their communities and organizations, the Darke County Chamber of Commerce has created a scholarship for ambitious students eager to make a difference in the world of agriculture.


Application deadline: Feb 28, 2025


Eligibility Requirements


Field of Study: Applicant must plan to pursue or currently be enrolled in an agricultural-related field (e.g., agronomy, animal science, agribusiness, environmental science, food science).


Academic Level: Open to Darke County high school seniors


Residency: Must reside in Darke County


School Enrollment: Applicant must attend or plan to attend an accredited college, university, or technical school.


Additional requirements:

  • Demonstrated Interest in Agriculture
  • Participation in 4-H, FFA, or similar programs.
  • Work experience or internships in agriculture.
  • Community Involvement
  • Evidence of volunteer work or leadership roles in the community, particularly in agriculture-related activities.
  • Extracurricular Activities
  • Leadership roles, club memberships, or other activities demonstrating well-roundedness and commitment.



All nominees will be invited to attend our Agri-Business Luncheon on March 28th. Scholarship recipient will be announced at the event.
